Default Vtec engages at 5500 in EM1

My vtec engages at 5500 in my em1. From what I understand 4800 is high load and 5500 is low load. Why is it not getting high load? This is at WOT. No MILs, CELs, or whatever.

What on earth are you talking about? Your VTEC is supposed to engage at 5500 rpm on an EMI...any load. Are you thinking of a GSR setup which has it's secondary butterflies open in the intake first and then VTEC comes on second? (or vice versa) EM1's do not use this type of intake setup.

yeah man, its definently supposed to engage at 5500 rpm. I think you are thinking of a GSR, where the unique intake manifold allows VTEC to engage at 4400 and secondary butterflies in the intake manifold to open up at 5700 i believe. Hope this helped some!
