Default install cams GSR

yeah.. im installing new cams. and needed to know some quick info. all i find are threads saying.. is this the best cam or what do you think about this. but is there any precautions i should be worried about when i install these new cams? do i need to check clearance or anything. just wondering so i dont F anything up lol. thanks. just bcII's

to the spec that came on the cam spec card.

please tell me you have a torque wrench and a service manual.

yes.. okay.. it says advertised duration, duration @ .050, valve lift inches and mm and, valve lash in inches.. soo im looking at these numbers. will it mention in the manual how to check these and change these measurements? thanks

if you dont have a manual, much less know how to do a valve adjustment, you should seriously consider having someone who has experience in that field to do the work for you.

yeah.. i do have the book... lol this just first time doing a valve adj. and needed this link all mrt teg sent over.. thanks a lot! i have high comp pistons installed as well.. do you think i should have to clay it or no? thanks for the help.

Claying is added insurance. Better safe than sorry, especially if the head is milled or the block is decked.

okay... the block was decked i believe. umm.. also have arp headstuds here. im reusing them from when i assembled it back in spring and all of a sudden started burning coolant. now i dont have the moly lube. is this something i can get at any local part store. or is there something i can use instead?? and about the clay. i dont really want to get into it..im prob going to use lucas assembly oil. any other recommendations? gsr motor i see ppl touqing down t0 60 some are at 70. what shall i goto? thanks. im on a diff thread they said 70.

I torqued my ARP head bolts to 70 ft/lb, then retorqued them after 10 heat cycles like reccomended in the instructions.
