my 00 civic hatch wont start, it has a stock y7 motor. Car is getting gas and cranking, replaced cap and rotor, and put in a distributor from a working car, and still car wont start. Ignition coil is still good, and replaced battery. I also took out a spark plug wire one at a time to see if there are any spark but there is none. When i took out the cap and rotor there are no black marks on the points nor the rotor, i think that there is power going to the distributor? any idea guys thanks.

all the attempts at starting it would suck.

but yeah, check your timing.
seems you've done everything else.

 

is it trying to turn over and not, or are you turning the key and nothing?

im unsure of timing but it hasent been touched at all, the car was running hella good then all of a sudden doesnt work, it just cranks and cranks all day noting at all. its getting gas because when i took out the the spark plugs it was wet with gas so no issue with fuel pump or anything with fuel delivery and you can hear the fuel pump going.

 

You still did not verify that you have power going to the distributor, did you look up and FAQs on how to troubleshoot the dizzy, coil and ignitor. Let me know if you need more help after doing some homework.

 

could even be something as stupid as a bad ground connection...do what japan said and troubleshoot the ignition system and post what happens...
