Default I just got my new VR2

a few weeks ago I was on here asking around for advise on my new helmet. In the end i went with the KBC VR2-Dragon. here in England I got it off ebay.co.uk for £80 = $165 USD (MSRP here was £180).

When i pulled the thing out of the box i couldn't believe it! The shape and the color was amazing. I thought the picture looked pretty cool but even on my graphics design monitor it just didn't do the helmet justice. helmet fits great, the padding inside is button in with tucking sides around the bottom. the visor has an air tight seal which was a major plus! Its getting a little cold here but the vents (when open) are the best flowing ive ever had in a helmet. Vents are also easy to read, labeled with an "C" or an "O". This is one of the lighter helmets ive ever had listed at 1500g its louder then most helmets but overall not too bad. I wear ear plugs so it negates that issue all together...

the base of the helmet is pearl white with florescent blue, greenish/yellow and reddish/orange. the reddish orange is kinda like the wings on the 900RR back in 99'

I was looking at these. Does it have a breath guard? How's it fit size-wise compared to, say, HJC?

breath guard? Yes!

Size wise, Its great! I wear a Large and this is a large. The helmet is slightly smaller (i think) but not so much that you would normally need to go up a size. If a size normally fits a little on the snug side, i would consider going a size up or just trying on on. KBC went as far as using thinner foam in this helmet to decrease overall size of the exterior to reduce wind resistance with this helmet.

Korean Bell Company, no? They were going to be sued by Bell Helmets, so they changed their name to KBC...

I would've chosen KFC...

Nice lid! The gold accent is sweet. Goes good with gold wheels, I bet.

good luck with it, I own that exact model and I delegated it to backup duty. It was fine for running around but wearing it for above 40 minutes it started to get a little uncomfortable, but maybe it didn't fit my head right. Hope it works out for you and it is an awesome looking lid

I went out for a 30min or so ride would have been longer but I was running out of gas. I wont have my gas card so buying elsewhere is about $8/gal

it was about 50F out, a little on the humid side and I was having a little problems with the visor fogging up at sub 30mph speeds. not much different then other helmets that ive had in the past but the scorpion helmets truly do prevail in this category. comfort after 30 min was superb! hopefully i can get at least an hour ride in tomorrow
