Default JR S/C will it fit a swapped H22 eg?

I was fumbling around on the interweb and a thought struck me: will a jackson racing S/C fit an H22 swapped eg? I'm thinking no with the lack of hood clearance as is. Just throwing that out there. Search was performed a dew moments ago with no conclusive results. THANKS

i dont think hood clearance is an issue
i think firewall clearance would be.
the h22 sits pretty far back in the eg chasis, i'm sure this was done due to the majority of honda folks going turbo.

if you feel like altering the firewall though i'm sure it would.

Thats exactly what i was wondering. I was sitting at work, dreaming of an H2B, and then i saw an add for JRSC and the light went on. What kind of power would you be making from H2B W/SC? Quarter times?

This be the fate of my eg. Definately sounds like a one off project. unique even.

Discuss. Thanks for the replies!

he likes it but at same time the JRSC is ok from whta he says, it moves pretty good but my buddys B20B all motor hatch beats it lol, dont get me wrong not telling you to do it or dont do it, just giving you options, h22 motors dont really like boost from what i understand unless you sleeve them...but i dont see a problem running the stock 7psi on the JRSC pulley

Your buddy with the supercharged H22 must either be: a) a shitty driver or b) running completely untuned and way too rich.

Well, sure, but given that a well built NA B20 will produce, say, 180 to the wheels..? Nobody said B20-vtec mind you. The H22 stock would make 170-180 to the wheels. Add boost to the H22 and the weight difference between the hatch and the coupe would offset... eh, dunno, whatever...

oh wait, my bad "my buddys CR-VTEC hatch beats it...and yes fully built 12.5:1 JE's blah blah blah toda spec C cams blah blah blah toda header and ITB's before they got discontinued! 261whp 196wtq

The H22 hatch is making like 280whp i believe but for some reason the A/M hatch beats it lol not sure y...ive driven the H22 hatch and the B20VTEC build pulls at like 4th gear and just keeps going, otherwise there even til 4th

wow. sounds like your buddy has a fun ride

still sounds like the S/C H22 is still pretty quick. Wonder how that race would go with b tranny...

Maybe not all that cost effective, but cool as hell.

just a question...but y would you wanna put a B-series tranny on an H-series motor?? it also comes down to throttle response, driving skill, and torque and power bands and the tune...not just weight and trannys...

Theres been several people that report some very good 1/4 times on an H2B setup. snappy response, good torque. check it out. i have a 93 Si with a JDM B16 and im very trongly considering this setup. Some people are claiming a 13.5 with good tune and good tires. Just a thought.

why are you asking if a jrsc will fit a straight h22 swap (h2h) when you're considering a h2b swap?

You should try looking in the hybrid forum, the h2b has a ton of firewall clearance.

From what ive seen is that a corner of the drivers side shock tower has to be "dented" a little to clear the edge of the pulley and belt assembly on a 96 prelude. Ive never seen a h2b so I dont know how much clearance is available but keep this in mind. -ejoner
