First post! oo and I own a crx
first off, let me say you guys have quite a resource of CRX info.
ive spent all my time researching here and another forum.
that said, I have a crx that i purchased in May. however, a day after purchase, it started to develop a stalling issue.
My car:
130k
Honda CRX DX
dual point fuel injection.
Manual Trans
okay, when i bought it, it was running but had a battery charging issue, it turned out to be the battery itself. it had like a gallon of gas in it, i ran it almost dry before i filled it up at a gas station. when we filled it up, we put high test in instead of plain ol 87 octane. (later i was informed that the car was built for 87 not 93... mayhaps this has caused the issue that developed)
okay, so after driving the car about 5 more miles, it developed the stalling issue im still trying to fix.
what happens
if the car is sitting for a long period of time, and i go to start it, it starts fine. its in that high kind of idle. however, as soon as its warmed up, it stalls. and after that it becomes harder and harder to start.
what ive done to resolve the issue and also replace stuff that could go bad.
replaced battery
changed oil
replaced oil filter
re soldered main relay
removed, cleaned, and reinstalled EACV
replaced all vacuum lines
replaced fuel filter
replaced timing belt tensioner( i noticed the timing belt was loose)
replaced timing belt
replaced idler pulley
replaced valve cover gasket.
replaced sparkplugs (the old ones were sodden with black soot)
replaced distributor cap & rotor.
what else should i try?
someone who has been very helpful recommended checking the vacuum lines again, and to replace coolant temp sensor. I plan to try that next.
I just wanted to put this up here in case anyone had a similar issue or other recommendations?
thanks for reading

Have someone who knows what to do reset your idle.
Replace fuel filter?
And running your car on high ocane wont do anything other than hurt your wallet.

ok since you have changed a good bit of the maintnace parts for your car and still youre having the problem i think maybe it might be your fuel pump.

thanks for all your time guys.
i replaced the fuel filter.
back when i first started working on it, it threw a code 16 (fuel injectors)
however, when i reset the ECU (pulled hazard fuse for 10 seconds) it stopped throwing the code, and currently throws no codes however nothing has changed.
you guys think its the fuel pump?
