Default What springs do you like?

So right now my EP3 is lowered on some lame, LAME Aerospeed coilovers. I hate them, and I am glad that I can say that I am not the one that bought them. I am ditching the Aerospeeds and putting something else on. They don't work right and make my car feel like it is hitting a brick wall when cruising over bumps in the road.

I was looking at the ground control coilover set for like 350 and they look pretty rad. BUt I don't think that will be in my budget. I am just wanting to pull my coilovers and put some lowering springs on it for the mean time.

I am looking at brands like

Neuspeed, B&G, Eibach, Suspension Techniques, etc..

What are you running in terms of JUST springs and how do you like it? I am in the range of lowering about 1.5" below stock.

The rule is "you get what you pay for". If you want springs, you should go with s-tech. If you want coilovers, you should get something worth more than $350

Get Dspecs. Adjustable shocks, height is fixed but perfect and lifetime warranty.

I am not cutting springs. First of all, the springs I got on it now are too short to cut anyway cause they are from a crappy coilover set.

I wouldn't think 350 for the ground control coilovers is a "cheap" product. There aren't any struts or anything just the coilovers...

What brands have you all had good luck with for lowering springs? I was thinking B&G suspension for the price? My friend has them on his Mazda autocrosser and he likes them. Anyone else?

350 bux for coilovers is cheap and it becuz they dont have the strut attached to the coilover system, if you want good suspension and worth the money go with tein basic damper for around $899.00 or if you want better buddy club N+ for around $1100.00.

coilover sets like ground control and arospeed and other ones that cost like 350.00 are not worth the money.

I would go with a Koni \ Ground Control setup. They have proven to be an excellent setup.

Maybe this article will help you in your decision
has a lot of useful info on aftermarket suspensions, mostly shocks.

Scroll down to Koni and read that paragraph.

Please call these sleeveovers so everyone moron with $50 springs off Ebay stops bragging about their "coilovers."

The $350 ground control coilovers are not coilovers. They are "Sleeve Overs" and ride like **** unless your running some kind of aftermarket struts. I was using them on the rsx and it rode like crap but the car looked slammed But I just purchased a set of Koni's to be used with the ground controls and will be installing them soon. I will let you know how that turns out.

Cliffs:
Ground Controls = not coilovers
Ground Controls on stock struts = BOUNCY
Ground Controls on Koni Struts =

Front being to low = steering bar upwards (more stress to the bar while turning)
