protection package
i bought the protection package "a" for my car.. i read somewhere that it takes a day to dry before i can wash the car... got a call from my dealer that they have completed the installation of a 4-piece skirt and the protection plan within 1 morning as opposed to what they said would take 3 days when i dropped the car off. just wondering how i can tell if they actually did the protection package since it's only a spray or something like that. thx
they installed the HFP kit (takes an hour) waxed the car and sprayed scotch guard (couple of hours) on your seats... you got butfuked by the dealer my friend. those are a load of crap.

The protection package is supposed to be like a warranty. The wax and scotch guard/fabric sealant is just an initial application for protection. But later on if your paint starts to prematurely fade or crack or if you get stains on your fabric....they should be able to still cover it and get the problem fixed.
But this business of taking 3 days to put on a 4-piece skirt and wax the car seems a little excessive!

they prly didnt have the HFP kit in stock, you might have not been to the point that you need the car asap, the techs were lazy, the detail guys didnt show up for work, or they were actually really busy and it took them 3 days to do the job. For some reason most places take an unusually long time to do a simple job. i run into this problem with our company vehicles at work all the time... i found if im a nice dick head i get faster service but if im just nice i get the run around...
just my .02

actually, i didnt drop off my car (nor made the appt) until they called to let me know the kit is in. picked up the car this evening. everywhere they sprayed the scotch guard is greasy and sticky, including the steering wheel. they said its normal and should wear off after a short while. what is a "short while" tho? hate how the seats are shiny and everywhere i touch, i get this greasy/sticky feeling on my hands.. argh... this thing better not leave stain on my clothing, esp my work clothes.
