Default Type r or sir camshafts for b16a

well starting from my other post which kind of got taken away from the compression issue and brought to another useful topic, my transmission. but for this post i would like to know which camshafts you guys think would be the best bet in my b16. i've heard that the type r camshafts would give me the best power output compared to a newer gen b16. and i heard that they all have a "motion valve" and i just want to be sure that they line up.

CTR and ITR share the same exhaust cam I beleive, CTR has a better intake cam tho.

Remember you can't just slap on the itr or ctr cams on the b16a with the b16a oem valvetrains you will have to get the valve springs and valves that come with the itr and ctr. If you do not replace oem b16a parts expect bad idling and bogging at certain rpm.

2000 or 2001 ITR camshafts are the same as the CTR's, both in. & ex.

Not really true. The engine will perform great with stock ECU but I recommend getting some adjustable cam gears and tuning it.

About the drivetrain, don't think you will blow up if you slap them in. All you will do is wear the existing drivetrain alot quicker then stock. So yes, upgrading is a good idea but not neccesary. My bro's friend ran ITR cams in his B16 for a year before he decided to upgrade.

He upgrades to crower, which was just as expensive as brand new acura parts, but they were of higher quality.
