honda crx losing some power at 4500 rpms help!!!!!!!! it starts to sputter at 4500 rpms. car has set for about a month. sometimes it will crank and some times not. any info please.

Not sure way, but I had the same problem with an H22 in a 2000 Si. It was in "limp mode" and mine turned out to be the harmonic balancer. Let me know what you find out. Good luck!

So you threw a check engine light for an external, mechanical, unwired part of your engine?

No, no light, just power loss. If I went over 4k rpm's it would run like crap and sometimes die. Below 4k it just ran like crap.

I'm not sure. I snapped the the vacuum elbow on the IM to the PBB and crushed the TPS sensor, got a check engine light, it went into limp mode, I replaced the elbow and TPS sensor, the light went out, but it stayed in limp!!
