Default Safety question

Would an R equipped with a 4 point rollbar, racing shell, and 5point harness be safer than a stock R on the street? Also, would a 6point rollcage with racing shell and harness be suitable for the street?

I've read somewhere that a rollcage in a street car is bad since you don't have a helmet to protect your head from banging against those metal bars.

Any thoughts?

Helmet in both cases, if you're wearing a harness.

With the roll bar, the roof can still collapse several inches over your head, and you'll be held in the upright position by the harness. It's not as bad as without the roll bar, but you still should have a helmet.

With the cage, the most dangerous part is the halo. Without a helmet, the halo can be deadly even in a moderate accident, and even when padded.
