it's most likely a power wire that can be found in car audio sections of most electronic stores.

i.e. best buy, circuit city, etc...

It's a power wire installed improperly by Mike.

 

That's a car audio 4ga power wire with gold plated ground terminals.
There are many colors: Clear red, clear blue, clear yellow, clear black, and clear.

The Type One grounding system doesn't come with that wire.

 

It was custom made by Mike @ IPS.

 

Now, i don't know if you guys noticed that our cars come from the factory with the ground wire connected to the valve cover bolt instead of that available threaded whole on the right (where this particular teg has its blue ground wire hooked to).
The reason is because the valve cover itself is not a good source of ground. given it is insulated from the head by the head cover gasket and the rubber seals at the bolts. When they put the ground to the head cover bolt/nut, it makes direct contact with the block head. Which is a good ground. So, I'm afraid my dear friend with the yellow head cover and the blue wire, is not doing a good ground.
That free threaded hole must be used for something else, i.e. a bracket maybe.

 

Does anyone know where I can get that wire?

 

That threaded hole is for a throttle cable bracket on JDM carrs (right hand drive)

Get the cable from any car Audio store....

 

It's blue Lightning Audio 4 ga. wire.... the only companies i know of that make blue power wire is Lightning Audio and Phoenix Gold.

Nope, Its one I made myself.

Reid Not really Improper since the other grounds ground the Head SO I could actually do without the Ground pictured I just happened to have one piece left.

 

how did you manage to paint it blue!?

 

Now why would you really want bl00 power wire?

Red = constant power
Black = ground
Red/black = switched power
Blue = remote turn-on

and the rest I all forget
