Default Expanding foam

first off im not sure if this is the appropriate section for this topic, so mods if its not please move it. Well ive searched this website and havent gotten much info. Im just curious as to who here has tried the expanding urethane foam in the chassis of their cars. Apparently ive read that its supposed to add up to 40 percent rigidity. Any input or advice would be great

i remember watching a import tuner car show on tv, a shop used the expanding foam on a nissan r33 and it helped a good amount. Its supposed to expand into the chassis and make it more rigid. Whats the reason for this mod? I find it to be a big job which requires alot of knowledge, skill, and the right equipment.

well i guess you kinda answered you own question, its supposed to make the car feel more rigid that stock. Most of what i read is that its definetly not replacement for a roll cage. But in a sense if you solidify the frame then it will help in the handling department.

i heard its kinda heavy and that if there is any moisture in the frame it tends to rust a lot faster

from what i remember the certain skyline they had, had a week frame to begin with so they added the expanding foam. You dont have to go this route though, throwing on sway bars in the front/back, good suspension, and struts here and there will help a whole lot.
