You can datalog with Uberdata, if your "tuner" says otherwise ask him where he got his info from.

It depends what version of uberdata you have.
Some versions don't support datalogging.
This is probably why your tuner is saying no....

Runaway quickly and go find another tuner. You should be using the only official release which is 1.70 which has datalogging through the 4 pin header on the ECU. I have it working perfectly.

wouldnt you think that a good tuner/reputable tuner would have the newest version(1.7) of uberdata. seems like your tuner doesnt know too much about the uberdata setup or something. imo

Do yourself a favor, when you go to datalog, spring for the $40 moates cable. It's not worth the hassle and headaches trying to set up the nokia cable.

Sure it did, it works fine for lots of people. But it also gives a lot of people hell. And when you can't get datalogging up and running, one less varibale to deal with is a God send. At least you know with the moates cable that if datalogging isn't working, it's not the cable.

I can't complain though, I'm going to solder the nokia end back onto the cable and download some games to my phone.

Make sure you get the correct website when you do the data cable. Some have transmit and recieve mixed up(cough ECUcontrol) *cough*. I told him but he didn't want to listen or something. He did max232 and I heard that 232 is inverted on a nissan site. So that would explain why his is backwards if that's true.

I'm using the nokia cable. It was easy to setup (real easy) and it works perfectly. I couldn't be happier.

You guys don't have to say "I'm using the nokia cable and it works great." We already know that they work, that's why there are a million people using them.

But sometimes they don't work, and it sucks. It's just a gamble. The one I ordered was straight off of the uber forum and it didn't work.

Good luck finding a radio shack that still has them. They have been discontinued for a LONG time. I checked multiple in my area and couldn't find one. Even if you do get one it still isn't as nice as the HULOG which is fully removeable leaving only a 4 pin audio cable header on the ECU when you are done datalogging. If you aren't living off Ramen noodles, I would recommend the HULOG over the possible hassle of modifying a Nokia cable.

no if you get the correct part number and get that particular one you shouldn't have problems. If you do then its user eror and not the cable itself.

There are many ways to skin a cat (not that I have tried or anything)... I was going through the steps provided... and I didnt' have trouble finding the Nokia cable, and this was fairly recent. Anyhow, the HULOG doesn't look bad. And for the price for a cleaner setup maybe worth the difference. But then again, you can make any setup look clean with alittle more effort.

^^Well right, I don't think either method is "cleaner." It's just one cable.

And for the record, my nokia cable was identical to the recommended cable in the uber stickies. Trust me, it didn't work. I was told all kinds of b.s. I spent two weeks resoldering joints, re-downloading various uber versions, playing with the uber software, switching rx/tx wires, etc. Nothing worked and the fact that I was defeated by a nokia cable left me sickened and depressed.`

this is the cable i and many other people have had success with. I promise you if you get this exact cable there is no reason it shouldn't work.

Dammit, that's the exact same one that I had bought! Maybe one day I'll try to get it working again. But I already brainstormed with all the most knowledgeable people on uber and pgmfi and we couldn't get it working.
