Does riding gear and parts cost less during the off season?
I've never really shopped for any gear or parts durring the off season and was wondering if prices go down during that/this time? I usually don't have any extra money durring the off season due to Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, and birthdays so I don't look around much during this time.
I'm looking for some parts for my bike right now, but was wondering if I should hold on to my money for a little bit if the season changes the market prices on motorcycle goodies.

gear should've been the #1 thing you bought before your bling'tastic parts y0!
in my short time of riding, i've noticed that gear is slightly cheaper on the off season, especially since most companies bring out their new/newer lines this time of year. you can always get a few bucks off of what will be the older "last years" model stuff which is still good.

I don't think prices take a drastic dive during the "off-season." There's no real off-season here, so I don't see why there would be a difference. As LSD said, there are times when a shop would be discounting their inventory. You could also shop at New Enough - they have plenty of new gear that is in the Closeout section for dirt-cheap.
And if you know you're going to take a hit during this time, why not budget ahead?

Well, used parts and gear do tend to be cheaper in the off-season. But as far as new gear goes, I'd say there isn't an overall drop in price. You just gotta find a place that sells what you want at reasonable prices all the time.

Not really, if you look at it this way, everybody in the west rides all year round including the south.
Gear only gets cheaper when it is last years model, then they seem to cut prices down to get rid of the deadstock in time for the new year gear to arrive
