Default motor build..

1.why is it important that the rod bearing tang is always on the exhaust side is there an advantage?

2.also why is it bad to rub oil with ur finger on the rod bearing surface.. i see ton of people do it and they don't have engine failure..

3. my friend said one way to tell if u have a blown headgasket is open the radiator cap and rev the engine.. as we rev.. coolant started to shoot up really fast and splash everywhere... headgasket was blown anyways/. but how does doing that help.. what causes the coolant to shoot up as opposed to suck in..

1. idunno

2. becuase by rubbing it on with ur finger u could be carrying any kind of dirt or grit with the grease which will inturn cause the bearing to wear faster by causing more friction between the bearing and crank.

3. when u rev the engine u are forcing air in and out of the combustion chamber and when the piston comes up to compress the air and fuel some of the air is escaping through the headgasket and going into your coolant passages which is what is causing the radiator to bubble.

1: I believe it is because of the rotation of the motor.

pinging whats the difference how do u hear it.. i advance it all the way and al i heard was the valve ticking harder...

how does pinging show up in the main or any of the engine internals parts.. what is pining and how does it show up in themotor.....

when the piston fires like halfway when its still going up and the combustion forces it down do u get the pinging sound? let me know thanks..

Because that's the way Honda made it? I know an individual who put an H22 together with the rods in backwards and the motor is still running

Lots of pressure and heat in the cooling system.
