Water leak 89 crx rear hatch area

I tried a search but did not have any success.

I have a water leak issue. When spraying the car with a hose I can see water collect and drip in the plastic area where the rear hatch struts meet the hatch itself. I am not having much luck tracking the leak down. Has anyone else experienced this leak and fixed it?

Seems ok...seems to seal the hatch to the body.

I went out and tried to silicone up this area. I will let it dry and see what happens.
