Additions to CRX Hatch Leak & Hatch Squeak FAQs
Water Leak from rear hatch strut mounts:
Most recommended solutions (like replacing hatch seal, replacing the rear washer nozzel) to this problem did not work for me, and I have yet to see this solution posted...
I cured the leak on 2 different CRXs with a small amount of seam sealer or silicone spead over the corners of the trunk, just aft of the rain gutters, under the upper corners of the hatch.
This picture shows the existing cracks in the seam sealer. The cracks actually extend down further, where the body takes a 90 degree angle and flattens out:

...and a little bit of black RTV (because I'm fresh out of seam sealer):

Hatch Squeak (sounds like a bunch of mice in the trunk when going over uneven roads, when the body is twisting):
This is another cure I have not seen in any FAQ. Wrap your trunk latch sticker in a layer of hockey or dip it in tool/screwdriver coating, like this stuff: http://www.plastidip.com/consumer/index.html

How do I completely remove the rain gutters? They seem to be vinyl wrapped steel. I attempted to pry up on the end near the hatch to seal the ends with GE Silicon II, but now it appears to be bent slightly. I want to take it completely off the car to see what's going on, as the water is still coming in, but not nearly as much as before.

My seal is intact but I stil have water coming in. Will order the gasket.
To add to the squeak fix, there are 2 rubber bumpers under the hatch like the ones in the engine bay that hold up the hood. Check to see that those are in place and adjust to put tension on the hood latch. That fixed my squeak/rattle and didn't cost me anything.
