Hi, I just finished installing new OEM front sway bar bushings. I know the smaller bushings on the endlink have a washer one one side and Im wondering if I've got it flipped around backwards. I did both sides the same, at least I'm consistently wrong if thats whats causing the new clunking up front! Any thoughts? Does the washer go between the bushing and the nut on the bottom or between the bushing and the LCA mounting tab? Thanks

 

okay, the end links are fine. It must be hitting the subframe.

 

maybe you have it upside down.

I put in new Polyurethane Bushings on the sway bar and started hearing clunking sometimes. Did you tighten them up with the load on them?

 

no, I just tightened them up with the wheels off. Maybe thats why??

 

Well I have always heard that you should torque the bolts on with the weight on them.

 

Well, I turned the wheel to full lock, and got a few turns on the bottom bolt. I'll drive it tomorrow and see. I remember from before, it didnt take much for a sway abr to make noise.
