Could be a dirty IACV, although 4K RPM sounds more like a vacuum leak. Did you just do a swap or something? Do you have a Check Engine Light?

Well, first you need to know what motor you have. Use that link I PMd you and post up your engine code.

What model CRX is it? DX or Si?

OK, just a stock motor then. Do you have a Check Engine Light?

There are vacuum diagrams in the CRX workshop manual, you can download it here: http://spoonhonda.com/downloads.htm

#1: bad O2 sensor or wiring
#3 and #5: Bad MAP sensor, could also result from having the vacuum lines hooked up wrong.

Download that CRX workshop manual and see if your vacuum lines are routed properly. Or take a pic of your lines and post them.

Hmm, what about bone stock never touched? No codes.

High idle (3k) till warm, then normal.
