Default phearable.net ecu??

I have a civic that i boosted and i am sending them my ecu but i plan on immeaditly getting it a real tune and really just need my ecu socketed. My question is would it be ok to put the information down for my h22 prelude and just use the p.28 with a phearable.net chip occasionaly? I dont know why i couldnt use my civic chip and a phearable chip on each car and just trade the ecu back and forth. just thought i should ask befor i did it. thanks

Running an untuned Chipped ecu can be the worst mistake ever.....
I run a chipped ECU in my Lude2 and Civic but they also both have VAFCs and have been tuned. Both ECUs required quite a bit of tuning to run right.
In the Civic I gained 10whp+ mid to peak from tuning......
Before tuning, the ecu was laying down 11.5-12:1 a/f's....I was getting 16mpg and it the power climbed like a 1 armed monkey.

So I'm guessing you have a civic with a D/B series engine and you also have a prelude with a H22 engine. And you're asking which ecu can be used with which car? The ecu doesn't really matter, but the chip does. The ECU is the computer and the chip/rom is the program. If you get an ECU chipped (socketed) for the H22, yes you can physically remove that rom (chip) and use the same ECU in the civic with a different rom, and vice versa (assuming OBD1). The thing you want to avoid is running a H22 on a generic B/D program (rom/chip).

ok thanks that is what i plan on doing, i had the chip written for a h22 just cause i have no use for a chip for my d-series since my bud is tunning it on crome for me.
