painting car same color....is it recomeneded to sand down through clear coat, use old basecoat as primer , and spray another couple of base coats on top of that, the re clear? it will be the wame color, also tryna elimiminate the idea of re spraying inside of door jams etc.....lmk....thanks!
DA the whole car to scuff it up. Do a couple coats of primer and then wet sand the primer so its smooth. then hit it with a couple coats of base, and then clear. If you're keeping it the same color, you shouldn't have to worry about the door jams.

If you're re-spraying it the same color you won't even need to use primer. You would only need to spray and wet sand filler primer if you need to level out the surface or have a repair area. If there is no body work needed and you are just re-spraying it, scuff it with 1000 grit wet, 3 coats of base, 2-3 coats of clear. And I would only DA it if you have several layers of paint on the car, if it's the original factory paint, just scuff it and spray it. That's just what I would do though
