1500 Mile Road Trip - 01 NBP 0193
Took the ITR on its first long trip this past week. Just got back this morning at 12:30 from a 1,500 mile road trip from Chesterfield VA to Bowling Green, OH and back (Oct 4 -7) to celebrate my youngest son's 19th birthday who is in college at BGSU. Took 12 hours to get there (northern VA traffic) and 10.5 back (fast roads). The car was flawless, an absolute joy to drive that far (stock suspension, header with stock muffler! Got 30 mpg, virtually no oil consumption. Drove 75 - 85 mph most all the way. Went through MD and PA on the way and came back through West Virginia. Beautiful WVA mountain scenery, roads were great, smooth, lots of switch backs through the mountains. It was real hard not to drive faster. Got up to 95 mph a few times. Weather was perfect the whole time. Went to Port Clinton and Put-In-Bay on South Bass Island in Lake Erie. Loved, the water, boats, marinas and houses/towns, but was kinda dead since the season is wound down. Not many pictures though, can you believe that? Duh! I did see a new Bently at a resturant, took a cell phone pic, I'll try to post it later. Didn't see a single ITR the whole time. Anyway, I love my ITR!
Heres a pic of the Bently and my son Jordan (the one on the left

Yeah, he drives it whenever he is home in VA. He drives a 2002 SER Spec V, that replaced a 2000 Civic Si that was totalled. Yeah he is lucky to be very young looking. When he's 40 he will look 30!

My parents had a miata when I was a junior in high school and they wouldn't let me touch it, the frist time I did, I drifted the hell out of it through an intersection LOL I guess that's why I couldn't drive it
Once a gear head, always a gear head. I'm now hooked on imports, especially Honda. The last 5 years Ive had a mint 1991 RX7, a 97 EK9 CTR clone with full ITR swap, a mint 90 CRX Si, and this ITR and a 98 Taco. My 3 kids have had nothing but Hondas, Acuras, and Nissan.

I have driven over 10,000 miles in a year, and never once saw a Type-R. I have only seen two type R's just driving. One on the highway, and the other in CT, which I turned around and talk to for a few.
Type Rs are definately a rare breed
