i heard the same thing about the b16 head. will it make it run poor will it give it a bit higher compression? or should i just look 4 a b16 head?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but the GSR head should lower compression a few tenths, no?

GSR head will increase compression by .2 points. The problem is that you will need to buy an aftermarket intake manifold like the skunk2 designed to fit the GSR head (IM bolt pattern). The GSR stock intake is good but the secondary butterflies won't work on a b16a ecu. The Type R style intake manifold usually loses power on a b16a in the lower end/mid-range, only better in the top end so unless you add cams to the b16a and a tuning system like Hondata you won't be able to take advantage of any of the mods.

what is wrong with your head? just get it fixed and it will be better than buying a used head

Yes, good points 00Red_SiR. I completely forgot about the IM difference and I did a GSR swap myself. Bah, I went with a Skunk2 piece (B16/R style) and that alone would offset the cost of swapping heads if there was any savings to begin with.
