Need a more descriptive statement, hard to tell what exactly is happening from what you said.

Try to use PERIODS (.) and comas (,) when you type. This will let others understand you easily and allow them to help you faster. Try checking your IACV under the throtle-body. Make sure the inside "screw looking" like thing is in there nice and tight, they tend to come loose thus causing your fluctuating idle. That's usually the culprit in these cases.

Autozone? Are you on crack?
Sounds like a possible vac leak. go over all your nuts/bolts
Also, try swapping back your old intake to make sure you didn't install something wrong, and there aren't any more problems.

You should really try to find out what the root of the problem really is instead of just selling the intake manifold. That is, if you have time to. You will gain a few points of experience and self worth knowing why and how come your car wasnt working properly with the type r manifold.

He's better off selling that Type R manifold anyway since it will only cost him power on his b16a. Stock intake is better.

True. Since he got it for 30$ he should make some profit by selling it.

Re: (ChadB)
Make sure all mating surfaces are cleaned, make sure all bolts are torque'd to proper specs, make sure you use new gaskets (with copper spray/motor oil to help the seals), make sure that your injectors are down all the way, make sure all vac hoses are tight, and any unused ports are plugged!
You can spray CARB CLEANER on the manifold while it's idling. If the idle surges, you've found yourself a vacuum leak.
As others have said, try cleaning the IACV... those things sure like getting dirty and giving idle problems to everyone .

Re: (confucioussae)
I think he's talking about just the intake tube.
OP: are you talking about the intake MANIFOLD or the intake tube?
You probably dont have a vacuum leak. Doesn't the OBD2 B16A have the IAT in the intake tube? The ITR has the IAT in the manifold.
Are all sensors plugged in properly? Does a sensor get put somewhere it shouldnt if you put the ITR intake on?
Putting on an intake is very simple on a speed density system car like a honda. So obviously, your problem is something simple.
Probably not the IACV if your problem goes away from just putting the stock parts back on.
To everyone saying "vacuum leak". You can't have a vacuum leak on a MAP sensor car before the MAP sensor. Meaning that a vacuum leak would have to be in the manifold, and not the intake tube itself.
I think the OP is talking about the intake tube.
Please clarify.
