Default jack stands

I am attempting to get under the car, so i just bought two jack stands. the instuctions for the jack stands suck, and i am a little afraid to place them just anywhere. Is there any place on my CRX, other than the reinforced jack ports under the doors, where I could set the jacks? Thanks for any help you can give...

well that was what i was thinking but i have to use the port to lift the car first with the jack itself. there is not enough room on the port for both the jack and the jack stand. i tried that already...

You lift the car with a piece of wood on the rails. So once its up in the air you place you jack stands on the free reinforcements. Release the tension on the jack!

Wood is your friend

jacking from the front cross member works great.

if you have a crappy jack, which i assume you probably do (I was there once also..), then jack it from the side with a peice of wood and then put the jack stands under the jack points like someone above said. Good luck, and be safe.
