Default Manifold Welding?

Guys,

Since no-one seems to know about replacement manifolds (in UK anyway!), I wondered if it is possible to MIG weld the original Honda VTEC tubular manifold. Mine has a cracked weld around one of the tubes where it is fixed to the lower flange.

Cheers,

Garth.

If you grind out all the old weld and run a new bead it might not crack again, but I'd just buy a new mani it'd be cheaper.

OK, so are we talking aftermarket manifolds or Honda manifolds?

How about Ebay #220156810738 ?

Cheers,

Garth.

I just checked the price of a manifold from Honda, and the TRADE price is a crazy £415 + vat, the downpipes are an equally stupid £313 +vat.

I think welding up my old manifold for free makes a whole lot more sense.

Cheers,

Garth.
