Hi,i'm planning to get a pair of camshafts with dual springs and retainers which i've found on ebay.the intake duration of the cams is 237 and the exhaust is 256.but i don't the quality of the cams.there is no brand, they said that is has been manufactured by XS POWER. any advise on this package as it costs low.
don't do it....they just came out with those cams and i know i wouldnt trust them until i read some solid reviews....especially if they make cams like they made turbo manifolds for how long.
You get what you pay for.
The reason they are so cheap is because XS power doesn't do any research, design, or testing. They just copy the designs of the companies who invest a lot of money into making a quality product.
Just remember, their products are made to cut costs, not hit an A+ in the quality department. Best bet is to just say no to SSAC.

If you're really on that much of a budget that you can't buy quality parts, then you should consider what will happen when those ching chong meow parts fail on you. You will own a busted motor with some lost money to cheap parts, and you'll have to pay to buy new parts that will actually work.
Do it once, and do it right. Sounds like you've already made up your mind, though. Just don't go ape **** when your parts finally DO break. Have you seen any responses praising these parts? There's a reason for that...
What kind of gains are you looking for with cams? How much of a budget you looking to spend?

but if i go only on the dual valve springs and retainers,i'll not use the camshafts.then i'll buy another brand cams like blox or crower.because another springs and retainers from a diffrerent brand will cost more.do you think that these springs also are bad quality. If so,i'll do another work as i've 2 b16 short blocks as spare.i'll tell you in your next reply.

do a quick search for xs power on these boards. you'll quickly realize they have a terrible reputation for making suck *** parts you wouldnt want to put on your kid's big wheel.
ive heard the xs power cams will eat up your valve train and heard many other bad things. on the flip side ive heard good things and how they are a great product... i guess it just depends. i dont like playing the guessing game and buy the right stuff. im thinking if you get your cam caps line bored to match the cams there wont be any problems.

that's way too much trouble and cost to try and run some shitty *** cams. you wont have to do that with proven cams.
