I repainted them black after a car forced us into a median... sanded down the scratches after my Arms healed and put them back on after I semi flat painted them black... that and the little scratches she had here and there from track days was also taking their toll on her.
I lost it in my last relationship along with some other things.. I know go cry emo kid.
but i will be back in the saddle again next spring.
I've been looking into an interceptor being as i have gotten out of the track days. I just wanna Ride.
but I didnt wanna lose that Vtwin feel, so im opting for a v4.

I have never had the pleasure of owning an RC51, though I was fortunate enough to own its arch rival... the Suzuki TL-1000r.
The RC51 is definitely the sexiest Japanese bike that I have seen, and is close to the level of sex found in several Italian bikes. People often times over-look a great bike with out ever giving it a chance... the RC was dubbed as a heavy, under-powered bike by many people, despite the fact that it had an excellent character few other Japanese "big-4" bikes could rival. I loved my TL for its torque and over-all grunt, as well as its sexy 90* v-twin sound and exclusivity, the Honda RC51 was all that my TL-1000r was and then some from what I am told. Great bike.

I think that the TL is an U-G-L-Y bike, the headlights are to small, the cowl cover is hugh!!
Damn, I didn't realize how much I hate the TL

nothing wrong with the tl, the tlr had a pretty stout motor featuring forged internals over the S model. No its not a honda, but with the right mods getting it to breathe better i thought it was fun.

Which is odd, because its a v-twin. Must be because of the radiators. Interesting way to nullify one of the advantages of a V.

it is wide at the tank and the fairings, but it felt nice to me when standing.
They were able to move the motor further down and forward by putting the radiators on the side.

TL is a piece of ****, I would much rather have an rc51 and that is saying a lot. It is unique though I'll give you that, not too many people in their right mind would actually buy one of those
