im on a verrrrrrrrrry limited budget and need to know a good tune to set up my chipped p28 with. i got a skunk pro series im and a gay megan 421 header on it and stock exhaust in an eg hatch. my b20 started making some bottom end noise and i swapped in my spare gsr in a hurry s id have something to drive, but i havnt had my chip burned for the p28 yet so its running on my chipped pr4 for the b20. i hate asking this question because it makees me look dumb, and i know im going to get bashed on for it, but i wanted to see what everone thinks. i heard that gsrs run like crap on a stock gsr tune with the manifold im using, and that they run great on a b16 or ctr tune. i wish i had the money to get a wideban and tune the ecu properly, but i dont. sorry.

A stock gsr p72 ecu binary or ecu is not going to make the car run like complete crap, however the setup will perform a lot better with a properly tuned map for the setup in the vehicle.
I would stay away from running a b16 map on the setup as that is not what the setup is going to ask for :-)

we just put a stock gsr tune on the ecu today using crome. now the damn car wont start at all. tied 2 different chips, read them on the compuer, and the tune burned to them properly. i think the ecu got fried somehow or got damaged sitting arroun my room for the past 3 months. everything looks perfect on the inside, but it just dont work for some reason. we put the chip in my friends p28 (for his single cam lol) and it fired right up. maybee the ecu could have been bad when i got it or something also. i never tryed it b4 i had it soketed.
the gay setup on the car is a long story. i had the b20 n a coupe that got hit, and got more out of the insurance than hsd n the car, and this dumb dude wanted to trade me his eg hatch with a single cam 15 auto in it for the coupe with my old ls in it so i did. he miss shifted it like a week later and blew the motor. i then swapped in the single cam from the hatch with the origiional trans from the couope for him into the coupe i exchange for all of the b swap stuff back, then i did a five speed conversion on the hatch and put my b20 in at after i took the cams out (due to lack of exhaust) in the mean time i traded the cable gsr trans out of my rex for a hydor b16 trans. n2o blew that motor. then within 2 days of the trans trade, the b20 started to make some faint bottom end noise, so i just swapped the spare for the rex into the hatch with the b16 trans. and put the manifold on it cuz i dont like stock gsr maniflods. i just got it in and started like 3 days ago. because of everything happening without planing, and bills due, i dont have any money to things 100% right for a while, and it sucks!i wish i had a sigle cam layin around to throw in it to drive. if the crank isnt damaged in the b20, im probably just gonna put some acl bearings in it ar put it back in for now to get me around so i dont hurt the expensive motor
