Default oil coolant milk shake

well, i just got my ek running, everything put together. i went to change the oil. and it came out foamy as ****, white and super watery.
the motor is a b16 that i bought as a block, i had it taken to the machine shop for a .20 over treatment and hone. i rebuilt the bottom at school with my teacher supervision and help. and i bought a rebuilt head from a local shop, really great guys, so i don't question the integrity of their work.
i put the head on my self but i torqued it down to spec following the helms guide instructions.

i know the usual causes of water/coolant mixing: head gasket leaking, cracks sleeves etc.

my questions are, would the machine shop have checked for a problem with the water jackets? is their any OTHER things that can cause this condition?

also, the motor was not smoking when it was running. i didnt smell any burning oil or coolant. does that seem strange?

i know my next course of action is to pull the head, but i wanna know if i can check anything out first that could be.

im so ******* bummed about this you have no idea, this has been my hard work for almost 2 years.

EDIT: here is a pic of it in the oil drain pan, after i drained it.

here is a pic of some that leaked on the floor, notice its consistency.

Most of the time it will be blown headgasket or sunk sleeves. You stated that you got the head from a third party, did you have the head deck checked (for straightness)? If you are taking it off, take it to a machine shop (maybe a different one that you bought it from just to have a different non-biased person look at it).

Make sure the block has a deck job.
No, most machine shops won't look for anything else unless you mention / pay for it. hope you can sort your problems out.

i just helped my friend put an engine together, it sounds like you had the same situation we went through, we went through 3 head gaskets, had the head resurfaced and got new dowels for the head. instead of hooking everything back up and before putting the cams and stuff back on, just bolt the head down, connect all your hose and run water through the radiator and pump it, wait like 2-5 min for it all to flow through, if you didn't connect your oil line, you should see water coming out of it, if you do something wasn't plugged up in there. my buddy took his head to get cleaned and he had to change his valves on piston #1 since it was messed up but we eventually had to use a diff head. that's how the oil got into the radiator and how it got to the whole block, head, and oil pan. unbolt your oil pan bolt to see if water runs through that too. i'm not sure if this helps but that's what we did to trouble shoot the problem...

he got his head pressure checked and all that good stuff too. we finally figured where it was leaking after 2 weeks of trouble shooting...

BEFORE u pull anything, make sure the headgasket is on the rite way lik mentioned above.... you can check by looking for the headgasket part number.. it should be visible rite below the vtec solenoid area...if u dont see it there, there goes ur problem....
