i have a 94 eg hatch and i put a y7 in it and put the z6 head on it. and made it obd1. well the problem is that the car ran before i blew it up and now after i have put it all put back together the fuel pump wont come on and its not getting any spark. i took the fuel pump out and hooked it up to the battery and it came on and i took a test light to the wires to it with the key on and theres nothing. so some help there please. and the other thing i tested all the fuses there good and i changed out the cap rotor checked the power its getting power to the dizzy just no spark changed the coil everything im stuck so any help on any of this would be great thanks.

 

When u try to start the car, does it crank?

 

yeah it cranks over just fine. i blew the z6 that was in it and bought my buddies y7 out of his ek and it was running as well. but yes it cranks just fine

 

What ECu are you using?
Are you sure everything is wired correctly?
Youd be surprised how many times on swaps ppl get it to crank and not start ... all due to forgetting one or more grounds under the hood. Give that a check before anything else.

 

^^^ agreed..... there is a main ground on the engine harness that goes to the t-stat housing w/ this off you will get no spark or fuel

 

yeah ive already checked all the gruond theres the one that goes from the frame to tranny one in the front from the frame to the power sterring pump and the one on the t-stat housing is on to. so any other ideas please.

 

and im using the stock p28 ecu

 

Are you sure you have the right firing order?
Is the timing correct?

 

even if i didnt have the right firing order it should still have spark but yeah i do and its in time i timed it twice.
