Default anyone know what this is?

i found this lovely mess wrapped in electrical tape, always wondered what the blue wire was for. some one put jumpers in the plug. the car has been wrecked and repaired before i got it. the car was wrecked driver front and this plug is right where the washer jug was, goes into the same loom as the head lights.

That is the grounding plug for your headlight harness.

It looks like someone fried that harness and ghetto-rigged it...

All the wires that go into that harness are ground wires and need to be grounded. If you want to tie them all together and ground the whole bundle that would work, or you could ground each wire seperetely or even reattach them to a new connector. However you want to do it they should all be grounded to a good bare metal spot on the frame.

Cuz that **** is HAlf Melted! They have them jumperd so they get grounded. Look at the opposite side of the engine bay. Same ground set-up for the Passenger headlight harness.
