I have heard bad things about password lately. I bought mine from a sponsor on here (probably the same ones on ebay and password) Everything looked quality except the switch was complete garbage. I'm getting an OEM one so it doesn't matter that much to me.

password units are Depo's just like Ebay. I've had depos on my 96 for over a year with ZERO issues....

Id like to see you find oem yellow fogs. I only ever talked to one person who had them, and was shocked by it.

My fogs are Esuse - theyre alright. I had a sealing issue once, fixed it, nothing since.
If I were to buy a new set, Id throw on a bead of clear silicone straight away and Im sure Id have no problems at all.
Regarding the wiring...find the problem and fix it. So what if something isnt pinned correctly? Thats a 30 second fix.

Anyways.... To the OP: Yes, those ebay fogs will fit your 97...

Did yours leak moisture in?

Yes, condensation formed inside because the outer glass was not well sealed to the rest of the housing.

yeah that's the problem i'm having again with my depo yellow square fog lights.. i got a replacement one (the other was fine).. Did you just take it apart, dry it out and then seal it up with silicone? What'd you seal up exactly?

it wasn't a question of repinning anything. All the connectors were wrong for my application. But I didn't see that they were yellow cause i was at work. Clear work far better if you really want to see from experience.

Yep.

I've had DEPOs previously on my '98 Civic. They were HORRIBLE! I had wiring issues where the ground wouldn't connect properly and so one light would turn on and off randomly. Then there was the water leak I couldn't stop. I don't mean condensation would build up. I mean water would collect incredibly fast and quickly amount to an inch or so of water in there. I even blew a bulb once because it went under water. It exploded in the housing. I tried to fix it by putting a thin coat of silicone carefully around the edge of the housing. It still leaked just as bad. I put tons of silicone all around the outer edge AND IT STILL LEAKED. I tried spot sealing anything I thought might be the source. Nothing solved it.

Eventually I got a new set when Eran and I were trying to fix the grounding issue and the screw that holds the bulb clip on snapped off in the housing.

If you have to have aftermarket, Esuse > DEPO.

Oh, and Esuse lights also plug into the stock exterior foglight harness. DEPO lights have a long gaudy red wire...

huh guess I got the rare batch of depo's, I've not had any issues with wiring or lighting. Yes they've got the red wire but with the full loom and a little strategic wiring it's all but unnoticeable...

You can buy the OE units from the dealerships, but if you want amber units you can either get the lamin-x film to tint them yellow, spray the lenses yellow with stain glass paint or get a amber depo kit and then use the honda OE wiring to power them...

And here is the hurt:
#23339 FOGLIGHT KIT list 259.00 our price 173.53
as found HERE

The OEM USDM foglights are round and clear. No other variation for the USDM ones.

And that's a great price for true OEM parts that you know won't be shitty.
