I went to UTI Houston, but not PACT. However I did work at a dealer for almost a year before going to PTAP.
Although I loved working on Hondas, there werent a whole lot of cars to fix.
It was mainly basic stuff like brakes, maintenances, timing belts,etc...Not a whole lot of challenging work and there waranty paid techs crappy(IMO).
Maybe it was just my dealership? They are almost built too well for a honda technician to make alot of money...At least in my case.
Good luck to you though

Well Good luck to you. All I could suggest is to study hard and learn as much as you can. Get your ASE's and any training your dealer will give you, TAKE IT.
The time will pass before you know it. If your PACT has a tool program, take advantage of it. Tools cost alot more once your out there working in the real world..But most of all, HAVE FUN!!!

ya i think i should of taken advantage of the snap on deals while i was at school but i was too busy doin my engine swap so i didnt..the tool u get from snap on when u grad is not really ALL THAT..it will prob be based on a POINT system like lets says you get 2 points to spent, a tq wrench is .5 point, a rachet+socket set is like 1 point..**** like that..

i finished up with the Honda PACT program a little over a year ago took me exactly 2 years taking as many classes as i could to finish up quicker. It is intensive and long...I was placed at a Honda dealership in my second semester doing R&R on transmissions.

Take advantage of the dicounts on tools given to you thru snap-on,Matco and at our school we had cornwell and mac tools. It will save you alot of money if you do

My suggestion is do it, I am also a honda PACT graduate and it's not as hard as it seems. Well worth it your books are on Honda's- how easy is that. The instructors are Slavich, and Frala both cool and easy going cat's. Do it dont second guess.
