is an AEM intake for a 99-00 EX the same as 99-00 SI?
If i bought one for my EX but it was listed for an SI would it work?

I believe it may work, although i'm not sure of the TB position in the EX trim. EM1 has a B16. the ex has the D16y8, but on some of the D series the TB is located in a diff. spot.

Someone please correct me if i'm wrong

What if i got this instead? and replaced the filter with a K&N?

It's a short ram, it will work. Cai's are different sometimes but in this case they would be similar just different size piping.
