H22A7 in a Civic, but EG or EK?
Hi guys, I'm from the UK and own an Accord Type R (h22A7 redtop).
Or at least I did own an ATR but a skip lorry hit it, hard.
So, the engine which pulls 220hp, 162tq STOCK on two separate rollers needs a new home.
I want to strip and cage a Civic but not sure which to go for, I like the look of the EG but I know the EK is/can be stiffer and has a better suspension setup. However I guess even with lexan windows the EK will never be quite as light as an EG.
What's the lightest you guys have got your EG and EKs?
Thoughts?

I am an EG-4-lifer and always recomend EGs over EKs for massive projects like the one you want to do. In N. America we have EG hatch models caled the VX and CX which are very light and have VTEC compatability right from the factory (at least mine did). I don't know what the specs are on your EDM Civics but I would look for a model something like I mentioned. I have heard of plenty of drag EGs that are sub 2000lbs. What is this car going to be? Drag, street, race, all-arounder?
Watch out for them crazy lorrys if you take it out on the street.
