Default FMU question??

How do i set my fmu and how do i know what to set it at? When i "get on it" my check engine light comes on, i have been told it's from having to much air and not enough fuel.
Thanks Kyle

what kindof fmu is it, most are not adjustable, if your running a turbo on stock engine typically people run 12:1, which means 12lbs of fuel (above stock) per 1lb of boost psi

Yes, you need a tuneable ECU, upgraded injectors, and some proper tuning.

tune that **** before it blows up. i bet you're not even using a missing link which would cause the CEL. and 87mm bore with turbo and xs power turbo and manifold?

So let me get this straight, you build the engine and then buy the cheapest possible turbo parts you can find and wonder why it runs like ***?

This isn't 1994...there are plenty of cheap tuning solutions. There is no reason to ever contemplate using an FMU. Those things are archaic.

just take the turbo parts off now, before you blow your "built" engine and say "turbo sucks, NA is best".

sorry to be so harsh. i'm just trying to save u money and time.

Running an FMU with that built of a motor? What a waste of money.

I havent heard of an FMU in quite a long time actually. They still exist? lol

its not that xs is a bad brand, its just a cheaper brand, i got a xs wastegate, and it works great it might not last as long as a tial but hell it was the third of the cost i thought it was worth a shot, besides that the majority of people on here have never owned a xs power brand anything, so there not really entitled to talk smack about them. most people have only heard of problems with xs and automatically think that its crap cuz it was cheap, but iv seen problems with greddy and other name brands to but no one talks crap about them.

start by checking the code. we can't help if we don't know what's wrong with the car.

Your FMU is probably not working correctly. Usually when it detects boost pressure, it will put in more fuel pressure. If you are running more then 8 PSI you should consider a different form of fuel/computer managment.

Not good enough to be considered over hondata or aem. Neptune is pretty good too. You can take it to a good tuner and see what hed recommend and be comfortable with.
