For this car, if I understand correctly, does the resonator sit in between the catalytic converter and the muffler? I want to increase my exhaust sound, so can I replace the resonator with a regular straight pipe? I think the catalytic converter sits somewhere almost right under the engine, so installing a straight pipe in place of the resonator will not affect my catalytic converter and thus not cause me to fail the smog test?
