leather seat care

Default leather seat care

i heard there is some kind of lotion for leather seat care to prevent the leather from cracking. is this necessary and how often does it need to apply? and when?

what abt cleaning and maintaining the seats? anything special like what kind of cleaner, etc...

i think meguiars has some good stuff for leather seats. Check em out.

I used Lexol when I had my S2000. Its a 2 bottle/2 step process. First you use the cleaner and then the conditioner. I say you use it every 3-6 months depending on how much you use you car. You should be able to find it at like pepboys, autozone, etc...

If you don't buy the lexol stuff, at least buy something that is pH balanced. Its very important for long term leather care.

i bought the protection package at honda. they told me that the package protects the paint/body from corrosion and all. and the interior care is leather care or something..

i use my car everyday.. so even with this package that the dealer claims protects the leather, do i still need to do leather care on my own? is it a time consuming care?
