Default Vtec aftermarket cam in a non vtec head?

Is it ok to run a vtec aftermarket cam in a non vtec head? Cant find non-vtec aftermarket cams anywhere.

Yeah summit didnt have ****. It was all either vtec or dohc. That bisimoto works though. Thanks boss.

Yes my best friend is a crower dealer. Go to crower.com and its all dohc or vtec.

crower's 403/404's are some of the best nonvtec cams

If you're broke, sell it and buy a 351. Otherwise, leave it stock and enjoy the good gas mileage.

My point was that it's not worth modifying your engine with a very limited budget. (That and I was drunk when I posted that...) You're better off just leaving it stock and waiting until you have more cash.

Deltacam does a few regrinds for the Y7.

You can probably have a custom Y8 cam made with the secondaries ground away. I'd have to go down to the garage and compare a Y7 and Y8 cam to know if you could for sure or not.

For the cost of that, I'd rather just put a Z6 head on it if it is just a fun car.
