Default noob question: how to make my shifter shorter?

hmm my shifter is kinda long and im looking to have that thing replaced. im not looking for a short shifter exactly but if it's shorter in length then im fine wit that. wat do i do?

there are plenty of pics in the link and thorough explanation of what you need. you'll find tools in a hardware store.

i just went to home depot and the guy said they dont have that size.. he saw the 12 x 1.5 MM and said 'ur driving a honda then u might wanna look for metric size because in the US we use the standard size which is inches and stuff'

lmao stupid white trash working at home depot saying US is using the standard system of measurements while 99% of the world is using metric.. gad damnn

where do i buy those dies??

Oh and standard is the name of units of measurement when working with nuts, bolts, etc . It's a different type of size, like our cars use metric measurements, and american made cars use standard measurements.

You can do it the ghetto way and just cut it and weld the screwy part back on to put the **** on it.
