Default CA D16Y8 Swap - Does it need to be OBDI, OBDII or can it stay OBD-0?

Just as asked above, I haven't been able to get through to a BAR ref so I'll see if anyone else has dealt with this.

And again this is on a CA emissions compliant car, which format has to be followed?

For it to run correctly OBD1-2, but IIRC you can make it pass with OBD0. I have no experience with this because I passed my old mini me on OBD1

Also still want to pick up the ebrake cover today?

Also, anyone know if a PR4, PM6 or P2N can be redone for this swap? I just happen to have all 3 sitting here, lol.

To be legal... you should run the ECU from the motor. Also all the emissions equipment from it too. You can't have an 96 OBDII motor in it and run OBD0.

So the year of the motor... someone correct me! The 95 y8 is the same as a 92 y8 you can say it is the older motor. If you have a reciept that says the older year on it, it will make it more believable. It might let you stay OBD0 this way.

I can make a call for you I just need to know what year car and motor.

okay, so to do it properly, i need to convert from obd0 to obd II and run the proper ecu. does anyone even make a harness to convert from obd 0 to II?

I see evasive, hondata, mostly have 0 to 1, 1 to 2 and 2 to 1, but i havent seen a 0 to 2?
