Default looking for your opinion here

So, i'm just looking for some opinions here, but right now i've got a 98 civic w/about 140K miles and i'm thinking about selling it and buying an 02 civic w/less than 100K miles,

so i was wondering if anyone here has had a 96-00 civic and could tell me if they're THAT MUCH different? Like, would it be worth the extra 4K to get the newer gen or should i just stay w/my gen and get one w/less mileage?

depends. are you going to mod? if not, then get the 7thgen. if you are, stick with your gen.

Depends (as he said ^^^...)

I had a 99 coupe, the EM2 is a lot nicer inside and more refined to drive and i think it looks great... but thats personal opinion. But then 96-00's can look really good too. I liked the step up to something that was (and seemed a lot newer - 99 Vs 2003), the EM2 feels like a class above inside.

Like Curious G said, if you wanna go ***** out modding, maybe the 98 is better... but saying that, you can K an EM2 and have a great car...

eh, go with your heart...

^^^ That is definitely one thing that impressed me about the 7th gen Civics... they have a most refined and beautiful interior... for a civic of course.

I had a 00 civic ex coupe until I moved a few states away, with I loved. I got into an 02 civic and loved it. I was into performance when I had the 00, but now im settling down with looks.---Andy

04-05 civics look nicer to me in my opinion...the new face lift..bumper and headlights look sharp..and the Tail lights and rear bumper look good too..on the coupes that is..the four door tail lights are not my taste..but the 8th gen 4doors are better....its expensive to mod a 7th as well..well engine performance wise..that is<<<

Seems a bit pointless to me... stick with what you've got in my opinion.

EM2's interior is great. Engine, not so much. Is it worth it?
EM2's can look clean.. I guess its all preference

for performance and modding i'll keep what you got. If not then get the em2, it's more refined and comfortable.
