Mine does this too, I think this might just be how the '93 models are. I've also checked my lines.

I used to think the car was just like, that.
Swapped out the MBC and it's much better.

I have to exhume this post because I'm having a similar problem with my 94 LX. I had the master cylinder and new brakes put on a couple years ago but I've been struggling with soft brakes for well over a year now. In fact, I think the brakes were satisfactory for only a couple weeks after the new MC and brakes were installed. Before that, there were instances where the brake pedal would almost go to the floor and I would start to lose holding power if I was stopped at a line on a decline. I don't have that problem anymore but the pedal is still soft and breaking power isn't necessarily bad, it's just slow feels like it takes a lot before it grabs. I'm also losing fluid, though it's slow. There aren't any leaks around the MC (no paint loss below the MC) and I don't notice any wet fluid around any of the calipers. One really important thing I've noticed is that on certain days, right after I start up the car the brakes are super grippy, just like I would expect them to be.

Now, I did bleed them and they felt a little better, but I bled them with the engine off and in the opposite order (I was basing it off of my van, which I know more about than my Civic.) Can it really make that much of a difference or am I look at something wrong with the MC or booster?
