Toe your toe hooks
I think they're obnoxious looking, but hey it's not my car is it?
I have seen people nail their shins on them when walking around cars at shows - that's the best thing about them to me.

What other time do you propose he use it besides when his car is being towed?

Going off course on a road course and having to be pulled out of the kitty litter is exactly what the hooks were designed for, but 90% of the ones seen on H-T are on cars that will never see the track.

I find it funny that you made a thread to flame all the people who have tow hooks just for looks ...
And you do so by showing us that your shitbox car broke down?
A+ for effort.

BTW I'm not pulling rank or holier than thou - I'm a touch guilty of the overkill bug on my own car having Spoon SW388 wheels on a car that won't see a road course. I have auto-X'd extensively though, but I'm honestly scared to lose my car on a road course. I spent too much time and money making it as nice as it is to wreck it into a wall on a road course by my own doing or if someone else forces me off. At last auto-X is a good way to enjoy the car without worrying.

Prove it.
The company is selling then to the public. Though the company might have originally made it with the intention of being used during racing, selling them openly to the public, they know that won't always be the case. I take it that they are sold to the public thinking that other people would want to use a tow hook:
- For looks.
- For towing while road racing.
- For towing when broken down on the side of the road.
What difference does it make where you happen to be when you need to be towed using your tow hook?
If I were to be driving home from a racing event and break down and need to be towed, should I make the tow company aware that they mustn't use my tow hook because it's only for when I'm racing?
