Default thin moldings

ok.... so here's the deal. my ek is about to get painted within the next 2-4 weeks and i am debating on weather or not i should paint my side moldings. i like the way both styles look but i just cant decide, so give me your opinions and help me out.
How long does it take for them to look all eff'd up when they are not painted? oh and the color of the car is gonna be Storm Silver Metallic, if it makes a difference. all comments are welcome, good or bad

depends on weather conditions... typically in 65 degree weather it could take 10 years if your able to keep them up throughout the life of the car. In 100 degree year round weather your probably looking at around half that..

What really screws em up is putting stupid chemicals like tire grease and **** on them.

ex civics have painted moldings. paint for show? come on now.... it's moldings.
it's funny to see cars repainted and leave the moldings or mirrors black.

paint them.

considering the car is silver it could go either way. Personally if you have thin side mouldings I would just leave them black. If you still had stock, id say paint them..
