Default Low Compression Pistons!?!

http://www.corsportusa.com/sto...=1875

Just noticed these on corsport and was wondering what kind of benefits these will have in conjunction with a T/C or S/C setup. Is this a mod that can be used by itself or will it result in power loss?

they are good for Turbo and supercharger beucase it allows you to run more boost, with less chance of breaking...but if i was boosting i would get rods also

You can run more boost without fear of breaking a rod. If you’re not boosted, the benefit would be the ability to run a lower octane fuel without fear of detonation. With 9:1 could safely run a minimum octane of 87.

The problem with running something like this is the same with everything else with these cars. Fuel tuning. The car is tuned for higher compression. I would think you would need a reflash or stand alone fuel management to correct the fuel mixture.
