Default Tein Upper Pillowmount Install question

Have a 98 Integra Type R.
Bought the PRH08-31S70 (front & rear) Tein Upper Mounts.
I have a set of Koni shocks and coilovers (H&R springs 1000.250.0700 - 1000SR,2.5"diameter,7" length then again it could be 8"I may have read the # wrong). The inner diminsion of the H&R spring is smaller than the Tein Mount (the little cup where the spring sets in). As a result the spring will not rest against the top of the Tein Mount. Note: the Tein Mount is for a spring ID=70mm (about 2 3/4" opening for the spring...the spring is about 2 1/2"...for the spring to fit, the spring would need to be 2 3/4" ID). Anyone else have this problem? Any ideas on a fix? Thanks
