Default JDM Front total cost

So I searched, but the search feature here isn't very efficient (forums suck to search through).

So anyways, I was wondering what the total cost people here have paid for their JDM front installs. Between buying all of the parts, installing it at a shop, and painting. Obviously, this is what (almost) every Integra owner wants. I just want to figure out how much I realistically am going to spend when I give my R a new look.

I figure it roughly to around $4,000 between parts and install, but I don't really know for sure. There's so much that can go wrong at some shops that I can see that price going up really quick.

Also, how long have your installs taken? I've seen shops take two damn weeks to replace a fender, so...

So?

Anyone know a good reliable place to do this in southern Arizona?

How much mines cost....(differs depending on your situation)

JDM HID front end (complete)- $2400 shipped

Bodyshop (welding, painting, blending, etc)- $2000

so a total of $4400 on mines

damn, i don't know about painting, but i'm sure it should take less than a day to physically fit the parts and weld the rad support in and stuff

on topic, 2 grand sounds about right for what they will charge, then again you will be getting quality and a lifetime guarantee sometimes. you get what you pay for. and t weeks seams a little long to replace JUST A FENDER, but sometimes parts dont come in on time, and it depends what other work the tech has.

jdm front = over rated. i try not to touch what ain't broke as i figure 2-4 grand can go a lot farther elsewhere on the car unless you've got gobs of expendable cash just laying around.

JDM Front look good. People dont seem to like it for the sheer fact they "molested" a perfectly good type-r. Me personally got a real good deal on a JDM front end and couldn't pass it up.

Normally its around 2 grand for the front, 1200 for install, and 1200 for paint.

i installed the core support and lined it up myself and took it to a body shop 200$ to spot weld it and allign the parts etc.
what really helped me was a step gauge drill bit...( its a regular drill bit that graduates in size as you go deeper up to half an inch.) and a lot of drill lube i used royal purple xD
i think the drill bit was about 20-30$ at home depot and i only replaced the t-bracket. which was about 23 spot welds i think...
the whole ordeal from USDM to JDM bolted on was about 5 hours.
but your not going to get around the cost of painting your front end. core support and if you can the rest of the car.... spend all that money to not have it blended sucks.
if you wanna do it yourself there are plenty on this forum who have and if you have any questions feel free to PM me, i just did my 2nd... the first time i did the whole core support swap and it was a PITA...

i would but im norcal. best i can do is give advice. its best to learn how to do everything possible yourself. and invest in some tools that you can use forever, itll pay off. converting is really not hard to do at all. then bodywork and painting is learnable. im only 18 and ive never took any class or even went to a shop before and ive painted my own car at home. if you think you can do it go for it. the people on here will help you.
